OTTAWA — A Montrealer with ties to the asbestos industry has resigned abruptly from the governing body of the Canadian Red Cross after the humanitarian group rallied behind her as a “valued member” of its team.
A second board member, Peter Robinson of the David Suzuki Foundation, also resigned over the weekend after the Red Cross expressed its support for Roshi Chadha on Friday.
