Silent protest to MTR
The New Zealand KiwiRail locomotives have been found to contain asbestos, Hong Kong media exposed that Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway (MTR) has imported the same series of trains as New Zealand KiwiRail from China.

MTR explained that the contract of manufacturers stated that no asbestos was to be used, and MTR will check whether there is any asbestos in the train. After those bad news came out, MTR didn’t say something to the public, but only explained to some medias. NMAHKA disappointed to MTR’s handling in this issue. We launched a silent protest yesterday. We wear asbestos protection clothes, heave cards in the carriage, our action captured
